What is a Prayer?

Almost all of us consider prayer is something extra ordinary. But the truth is that prayer is very simple. It is just a one word for 'Our conversation with God.' Anything which we tell or sing to God from our heart through our tongue can be called a 'prayer'. For example some prayers are, 'God I love you', 'God you are my creator', 'God I miss you and I need you'. All these conversations look very similar to what we speak to our best friend. Yes, it is the same way which we need to pray to our God or in another sense He is our best friend too. Prayer is the only communication process that allows us to talk to God.

The power of prayer is very important. Prayer is very simple, but it is very powerful too. It can do miracles, change the life of a sinner, heal the sick, open the eyes of blind and so on there are no limits for the power of prayer. But the truth which we need to understand is that the Power of prayer can increase or decrease, it can be high or low and it do not depend on God. We are the one who can increase or decrease the power of our prayer. Many times we think how is it possible. Yes,It is possible by our FAITH. The more faith we have in God, the more powerful our prayer should be, and the less faith we have in God, the less the power of prayer also.

Some people consider that the Lord's prayer is the best prayer and certain times in our life we think, the best prayer which God loves to hear from us is hear our prayer for our parents, the poor, the sick, the lame, the orphans or so. But the truth is, these are not the best prayer which God loves to hear from us. The BEST PRAYER God like to hear from us is the 'Prayer of Salvation.'

Because the prayer of salvation is the only prayer in which we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior. Its the prayer in which we believe and confess that the Lord Jesus is the Lord and Son of God who died for our sins and resurrected on the third day from the dead to became a solution for our sins. Its the prayer by which we can return to God as a thanks for all his mercies and grace and the only way to be the a child of God. Its the prayer in which we express our Love and affection to the God. Its like we tell more than a thousand times, 'God I Love you.'

Its basis from the Holy Bible is Romans10: 9, 10. And the words of Jesus such as 'There is life in those who believe in me.' And an other important point towards those who accept these prayer and those who do not accept this prayer are stated in John chapter 1 verses 12 onwards.

God like to hear from us the kind of prayer which we pray directly to him. He like to hear the prayers offered in Faith as Bible says in James chapter 1 verse 5 onwards. He do not want us to pray to him humbly, if we once become the Child of God. He like us to ask to Him our needs through prayer.

There are no necessary and sufficient conditions needed to be taken while praying and is not possible also because Bible teach us to pray always and we are not able to take necessary and sufficient conditions always in different situations of our life. But there are certain things which we need to be care about.

a. While we are on our personal prayer, do not call anyone to join you. You should went alone somewhere else and pray to God. This is why Bible says us to go inside your room, close the doors and pray to the God who really lives.

b.Do not repeat our prayer many times because God is not a deaf and He knows our needs before we pray to him.

c.When you pray to God, pray directly to Him because Bible says to pray so, and as a father like to hear his Son/Daughter ask him something, God also loves to hear us ask him directly as we are His childrens.
