Why am I able to speak in tongues, without Holy Spirit?

Full Question:

I got saved, baptized and received Holy Spirit before some years. Before a month, I back slided from spirituality and started committing certain severe sins again. But still when I sit to pray, I'm able to speak in the tongues as earlier. How is it possible? Why am I able to speak in tongues, without Holy Spirit? and How can I confirm that the tongues which I'm speaking is from Holy Spirit and check that the Holy Spirit is still in me or not?

Answer:

Dear friend, there is no need to get much worried with these kind of things. But I will try my best to clear all your doubts regarding these things through my answer. Anyway thank you for your good question and the way you asked the same is also excellent.

Holy Spirit, who is God was here in the universe from the very beginning and his presence and acts are visible in many parts of the Old Testament. Before the time of Old Testament, Holy Spirit used to remain in human beings until the time of Noah, according to Genesis 6:3 "And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.", When we study about the noticeable presence of Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, we can see His presence in the people (people, prophets, priests),temple and in the ark of God. In the period of Old Testament, there is no permanent solution for the sins of people, priests and nation. Due to the holiness of Holy Spirit and unholiness of human beings, Holy Spirit was not able to always be with human beings.

In the period of New Testament, the situations changed upside down by Jesus Christ. Here Son of God came down to earth as Jesus Christ and he paid his life as a price for all sinners. Thus for all who believe and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior have a permanent solution for their sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament Jesus provided the Holy Spirit abundantly for all believers. Jesus Christ mentioned it as the fire baptism.

The prophet Ezekiel prophesied very clearly about this divine plan of God very long ago, before the birth of Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 36: 24-31, 24 " 'For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 28 You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, O house of Israel!

There are many parts in the bible in which we can clearly confirm the departure of Holy Spirit from people, when they commit sins. One good evidence is the prayer King David prayed after he committed sin in Psalms 51. Here King David is praying to God to Psalms 51:11 "Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me."

Bible says it clearly that we who were baptized in to Jesus Christ have put on Christ in Galatians 3:27. According to my opinion, similar to this is the case of fire baptism which is mentioned in Luke 3: 16-17, Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Acts 2:4 and so on. By receiving the fire baptism of Holy Spirit, we have put on Holy Spirit in the same way we put on Jesus through water baptism. So due to this very reasons, what I understand and believe is that, once a person, a believer of Jesus Christ received Holy Spirit through the baptism of Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit will remain in that person for all his life.

In the case of committing sin, it is not only you, every believer in Christ, including me, who was baptized in water and Holy Spirit is committing sins almost always one way or another. John 1:10 "If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives" and Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", confirms it. In my opinion, Christians are not sinless and have weakness, but what for a true Christian, who is saved and baptized by the blood of Jesus Christ have solution for all their sins.

This truth about the solution for the committed sin is not a license for any Christians to commit sin as they wish and it doesn't means that there is no problem in committing sin. You should be aware of things and consequences which happen when you commit sins. One of the major consequences of committing sins is much related to your question and my answer. We have already seen that in the New Testament period, once we received the Holy Spirit, He will remain in us always.

Thus Holy Spirit will remain in us even at the times when we commit sins. It is not easy for Holy Spirit to remain and act inside a person when he is committing sins, for the very reason that Holy Spirit is Holy. So when a person who received Holy Spirit commit sins, Holy Spirit is suffering inside to remain in you, may be like we suffer to remain in suffocation. He is weeping inside us about our actions. This is why bible clearly says that, do not bring sorrow to Holy Spirit in Ephesians 4:30 "And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption."

One another important consequence of committing sins is that, you should have to stand before the judgment of God. Committing sins also deviate you from the purpose of God in your life and it will also remain as a stumbling block for your blessing and deliverances from God.

As the Holy Spirit is in you, most probably the tongues you speak is also the tongues of Holy Spirit. It would be helpful if you read the question regarding tongues. Can demonic spirit gave utterance to speak in tongues? Hope my answer helped you. May God bless you and keep you.

Is the oneness of Father, Son and Holy Spirit visible in the O.T?

Full Question:

Is the oneness of Father, Son and Holy Spirit stated in the Old Testament? Can you please give an answer based on the bible?

Answer :

The oneness of Father, Son and Holy Spirit was not begun from the time of New Testament. It was not also begun by the birth of Jesus Christ in this earth. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit were one from the very beginning and it was also just the same in the Old Testament.

We can just look through some parts of the Old Testament which will help you to clearly understand the oneness between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In these parts we can clearly see God as three persons and with different personalities with a oneness among them.

Zechariah 2:8 "For this is what the LORD Almighty says: "After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you--for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye."

In the above verse we can see Lord Almighty (God) is saying that, 'after He has honored me and has sent me'. This verse is saying that God has honored God and has sent God. Here first person and second person is God. This is because even if the first person and second person is God, it represents two personalities in one God. Here the one person is Father God and Son Jesus Christ.

It can be confirmed by Zechariah 2:11, in which we can see God saying I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.

Zechariah 2:11 "Many nations will be joined with the LORD in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.

In Isaiah 48 also we can similarly see the three personalities of God or three God as three persons.

Isaiah 48:12-16 12 “Listen to Me, O Jacob, And Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last. 13 Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together. 14 “All of you, assemble yourselves, and hear! Who among them has declared these things? The LORD loves him; He shall do His pleasure on Babylon, and His arm shall be against the Chaldeans. 15 I, even I, have spoken; Yes, I have called him, I have brought him, and his way will prosper. 16 “Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit Have sent Me.” 17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:

Here also God is the first person and we can see there are two second persons. It can be viewed clearly in the verse 16 in which God is speaking about sending Himself and talking about His Spirit. I think this is the only part in Old Testament where we can clearly see the oneness of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We can also see the oneness of Father and Son again in Psalms 110:1. Here God is speaking to God, which is actually Father God speaking to Son God. They are two persons and two personality, but one.
Psalms 110:1 "The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."

I hope you got your answer clearly through my answer. May God bless you.

Why the church is not growing?

Full Question:

I'm a pastor of a church and we all are praying for a revival for last seven years, in our area. We are in need of a growth in our church. Now there are only 29 members in our church, including kids. Can you please tell me why our church is not growing. Please also mention an effective way to achieve many members to Christ and thus to the church?

Answer:

Even if I'm not a pastor, I can understand your situation of not much members in church. To provide a good answer for your question, I need to know more about the current functioning of your church and its members. Due to the lack of such points in your question, I will try my best to provide an effective method or solution for your problem, based on the basic problems that prevent the growth of your church.

I do believe that the first and most important problem that prevent the growth of your church is the false belief that a church will grow only through prayer. I also know about the testimonies and teaching which make us believe that church will grow only through prayer. It is not a bible based method for the growth of a church. In my opinion this false teaching occurred when certain churches received a revival with no special reasons and they assumed that it was all happened due to their prayers and so on. If any church witnessed a revival after many years of prayer, the fact is that they had wasted all those years and a far better revival.

Bible do not show us even a single revival that occurred only due to the prayer of a church. The most important revival in the bible gives an effective way for the growth of a church. It is the revival in the first century and the first century church growth. Here we can see the apostles and the other disciples of Jesus after receiving Holy Spirit went out and preached the gospel of God Jesus Christ, by performing visible miracles, healing and so on. This is the only reason behind the growth of first century church. It is not only the prayer of apostles that increased the number of members in first century church, but it is also their acts. Even the book of acts is named as 'the acts of apostles', and not as the prayers of apostles.

There are some churches which know acting is the reason behind a revival, but they don't to how to act. Acts means to work out. The most important thing to work out is to witness Jesus Christ and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Along with acts a good order in the church and behavior of its members is necessary to bring new members and to keep members in the church.

Sharing Gospel: Now a days, many churches think that sharing gospel means only to conduct public meeting with someone preaching from some part of the word of God. These meetings are all just an act of Karma, without any intention to gain people for God. It is like doing something just for Jesus commanded to share gospel. Christians and church which need a growth should change this attitude.

You should teach the members of the church what is gospel and also teach them how to share it to others. There are certain necessary points you should mention while teaching them sharing gospel. Teach them not to criticize others gods and their faith. Teach them not to speak from their life or other's life, for the reason that they are imperfect. Teach them to always concentrate in sharing the core things which include the love of God father, the submission of Jesus, the love of Jesus and the Holy Spirit and not to take any importance in sharing other useless matter by spoiling their time and interest. Teach them also to share the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in simple ways. Teach them to concentrate on personal evangelism (sharing gospel to a person alone) rather than to focus on crusades. If they are ignorant, also teach them how to make opportunities to build new relationships and to share gospel to others.

Faith: Help them to increase faith of your church members in God so that they may believe that God will surely hear their prayer. Teach them to pray for others shortly with simple words and with interesting points relating to the word of God. Give them the courage and confidence to pray for their sickness, financial crisis, problems and so on. Teach them to keep the things they shared secretly without sharing it to others.

Many Christians now a days believe and satisfy with verses like John 6:44 which says, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." You should teach them to remove these kind of concepts and teach them "Father can draws no one to Jesus unless you share the gospel to them." Also teach them to apply John 6:44 to satisfy at times when they really performed their best to achieve a person by sharing gospel and by praying for them. And teach them also to use John 6:44 to give glory to God when a person is saved, for the fact is it is not only our labor, but God is the one who drew that person to him.

Prayer: Teach the members of your church to pray for the people whom they shared gospel, from their heart. Teach them not to make long prayers in front of them, but to pray privately to all of them one by one, submitting all their problems. Teach them to pray for themselves also for receiving the power of Holy Spirit to share the word of God with much boldness. Tell them to pray to God to use them more and to be an available tool in the hand of God.

Expectation: Teach them not to expect the repentance of all people whom they shared gospel. Because, if they make such great expectations and when they saw it not working, they may lose their faith and get tired quickly. According to me, a good calculation is to expect only one person, if you shared gospel and prayed seriously for ten persons. I said it because in bible we can see Jesus Christ is satisfied by the return of the one person from the ten leprosy patients he cured.

Care: Teach them also to take care of the people whom they shared gospel. Tell them to show their love and care for them. Teach them to share necessary things to them like food, finance, job and so on, if they lack it. But also tell them to take care not to change their focus from Jesus Christ to the material things which they share. Teach them to be a good friend of them and also a friend in need to be with them especially on situations which they cannot handle. By all these caring, teach them to change their primary focus to Jesus Christ and to depend him for their needs.

Welcome: Teach the members to invite the people they shared gospel to the church. Tell them to do their best to bring at least one new soul to the church on each Sunday. Don't reject or depress those who fail to bring one, but exhort them and give them faith and hope to continue sharing gospel. Also care not to impose the believers to do so.

Your part: There are also many essential things which you need to do along with teaching them these things. You should not behave like a preacher of this world after teaching them all these things. It is because preachers of this world preach great things and perform nothing in action. So you should not only teach them these things. You should also study the things I mentioned and you should also start sharing gospel and try your best to bring at least one person to church each Sunday, by your own labor. You and your family should become a role model for all the things which I mentioned above and do not take any exceptions for you are the pastor of the church.

You should always remember that new believers coming to your church are the result of the grace of God and also due to the labor of the members of your church. If you don't treat all new believers with all care and love, the members of your church won't tolerate it, for those members are the result of their hard work. For that you should make all the activities in the church interesting. You should share interesting messages from Bible, conduct good worship service and all. Don't continue doing things, if you found people bored on your words. Don't give same messages repeatedly even if it is about basic things. Share to cover points like repentance, water baptism, Holy Spirit and its importance one by one on every Sunday and cover it by one month and repeat it every month.

Organize some special meetings for the church members and share small messages to them. Hear what they experienced on sharing gospel and praying for others. Teach them to be leaders of the people, they gained. Don't compel any person to get into ministry if they are working or something, but teach them to share gospel and to bring his co-workers or co-students to Jesus Christ and to the church.

Don't take all your life to teach your church members these things. A one month is appropriate according to my opinion. Within a month, teach them these things and start sharing gospel in your area. May God bless you and its members, with this answer to achieve more people to your church. And let your church be a model for other churches too.

What should be the qualifications of a pastor?

Full Question:

What should be the role of a good pastor, youth pastor, women pastor, in the church of God? What are the qualifications to be a pastor?

Answer:

Bible clearly says about the role and qualifications required by a pastor of the church. It is written and mentioned in the epistles written by Apostle Paul to Timothy and Titus.

1 Timothy 3:1-7 "1Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task.2Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. 5(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?)6He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap."

Titus 1: 5-9 "5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you— 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. 7 For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, 8 but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict."

It would like to write it one by one so that it will be very easy to notice and understand each point.

He should be  a person who is in desire for a task in the church.
He should be a person without reproach.
He should be married and  a husband of one wife.
He should be temperate / vigilant.
He should be sober-minded / self controlled.
He should be respectable / orderly.
He should be given to hospitality.
He should be able to teach.
He should not be given to drunkenness.
He should not be violent.
He should be gentle.
He should not be quarrelsome.
He should not be a lover of money.
He should have a household and he should manage it well.
He should have children and should keep his children submissive with all dignity.
He should have faithful children.
He should not be a recent convert / new believer.
He should have good reputation with the outsiders / people outside the church.
He should be a lover of God.
He should be just / upright.
He should be Holy.
He should be disciplined.
He should hold fast the faithful word as he has been taught.

Almost all the points about a the eligibility of a pastor is very clear in the verses mentioned above.  You can discern anyone with these points to realize that if a person is a real pastor based on the bible. A biblical pastor should be qualified in all the points mentioned above.

And now a days, may be by the influence of the world or so, many variety of pastors are available in the church. Youth pastor, women pastor, kids pastor, babies pastor are all few of them. Whatever it may be Bible do not support these things at all. Bible clearly says that a church is a group of people who got saved. It includes people of different categories. If we classify them, there may be youth, kids, women, rich, poor, educated, uneducated, professionals and so on. According to me it is not good to assign pastors for each category. It is because church is a fellowship between members of all these categories.

Beyond these, bible speak only about a pastor with the qualifications which I mentioned above. Thus it do not allows a women or a youth or a kid to be a pastor. And if some church want separate pastors for their women, youth and kids, at any cost, let them assign pastors with the qualification mentioned in the bible.

Many people are confused about the relation between elders and pastors. A good incident from bible which help us to understand this relation clearly is from Acts 20: 17. Here we can see that Apostle Paul sent message to the elders of the church at Ephesus and bring them to him. After sharing many things that happened in the past and in his journey to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, He appointed those elders of the pastors, to shepherd the flocks in the church of God.

This is the only incident mentioned in the bible, in which we can see the appointment of pastors. Here it is clear that Apostle Paul appointed the elders of the church as pastors. If it is so, one should be an elder before he become a pastor. The eligibility to become an elder is clearly mentioned in the Titus 1: 5-9.

Most churches today do not have pastors that satisfy the biblical qualifications of a pastor. They do not preach these kind of things in the church for they lack it. They preach Jesus Christ as the one who is build churches and they believe all their actions are God's divine leading. They teach the members that all leaders are appointed by God and not to question authorities. They want everyone to be submissive, or simply, to be silent watching all these things inside the church which they called as the church of God. Finally they says that that the grace will cover all these things.

May God bless all of you with this answer to discern people who are called pastors.

What should be the qualifications of a good leader?

There are plenty of books and essays available in the market specifying the qualities which a leader should posses. Still I would like to share some thoughts about it from my point of view.

According to me, a leader is simply a person who lead others. Thus there are many leaders all over the world. Most of all people are leaders for they are leading someone. To realize a good leader from these leaders is really important and I'll help you to discern a leader.

Leading: There are so many ways to lead others. It is possible to lead then with force and imposing. Hitler is a good example for this. Likewise it is possible to be a leader with the influence of material things like finance, assignment, position, power, education, age and so on. Rather than these things, a good leader should be a person who influence others with his wisdom and to get others to willingly follow him. Such a person should gain followers with his wisdom. Jesus Christ and Solomon are good examples for these.

Goal: A leader is to lead. This leading should never be a kind of leading without an aim. If a leader is not consistent in their aim, gradually the followers will loose their trust and hope in him. Most leaders are leading their followers with no aim and purpose. A good leader should be able to guide others with a clear vision to a fixed aim with purpose. There should be a primary vision and secondary vision which are also small visions to get to the primary vision.

Followers: A good leader should be a able to understand his followers. He should also be a good follower too, follower of his aim itself. He should realize that his followers are following him with some needs and he should be able to take necessary actions to help them for their need. He should never misuse his followers, but he should be a person who only use his followers.

Deeds: All leaders in this world are very good in words. But deeds are the mark of a successful leader. A good leader should be strong in both his words and deeds. Leaders only good in words will never achieve success in their life. They will surely fail to achieve their aim.

Listen: A good leader should be also be a very good listener. He should be a person who give value to the words and suggestions of his followers. He should have the ability to listen and to make decisions. But most of all times, leaders are only good in giving commands. Such leaders will surely lose their followers sooner or later.

Knowledge: It may be impossible for a leader to acquire a vast knowledge about everything. But a good leader should at least have some good knowledge regarding their vision. His basic knowledge about the vision to achieve the vision should be good. Otherwise he will not be able to understand his followers problems and to guide them properly.

Dedication: A good should be a person who dedicated his life, time and necessary things for his followers and vision to achieve the vision. He should be able to make his followers dedicated not by imposing, but by the influence of his dedication. Most leaders are good dedicators only in their oaths and not in deeds. Their followers will also eventually become people with no dedication towards achieving the aim.

Exhorting: A good leader should also be a good encourager. He should be a person who correct his followers through encouraging them by preferring new ideas to them. Bad leaders only found only find enjoyment in criticizing and finding the mistakes of his followers and others. Such a person should lose the commitment of his followers.

Creativity: A good leader should be creative to make some ideas and plans of his own, at least with the goal to achieve the vision. Most leaders today lack this quality for they are copying and following the ideas and thoughts of somebody else to be a leader. The major aftereffect of this is utter failure in situations of crisis and problems where nobodies idea is their to copy.

Beyond these qualities, a leader should also be honest, confident, intelligent, able, listening and so on. All these are qualities of a good leader, but not all exceptions are bad leaders also. Nobody is perfect and no leader is also perfect, expect the leader Jesus Christ. Those who gain Jesus Christ as their leader should surely find success in their life for they are following a good leader with good and fixed vision. This leader is the only leader in this world who is equally good in both words and deeds. So do you have Jesus as your leader? If you want Him as you leader, Click here

Why do Noah cursed his son for his fault?

Full Question:

Why do Noah cursed his own son for his fault to became drunk and lay uncovered?

Answer:

Including me, lot of people who read this part of the bible get stuck with the same question of doubt. I know it very well because many people already shared their dissatisfaction in the act of Noah. It was also a fact that still many people in the generations of Ham is suffering from this curse even in this 21st century.

We all consider Noah as a man who criticize others for his own faults. I was also one with such a consideration until I decided to find the fact and truth behind the scenes. For that I studied the Scripture to find out the fact about such an act from Noah and the to find the root reason for our misunderstanding about the act of Noah. It opened me a serious of facts behind the scenes which will help anyone completely to remove their misunderstanding about the act of Noah.

One of the root cause for our misunderstanding about the act of Noah is our attitude in drinking wine. Most of us consider drinking wine as similar to alcoholic consumption and consider it as a sin. There is much difference in drinking wine and alcohol. Bible prohibits to become drunk by the over consumption of wine and that is in the New Testament. Noah lived a long time before the time of law and commandments and to became drunk is not a sinful act for him. I want all of you to remove this misunderstanding before reading further.

Now we can take a careful look on this bible part with an intention to understand the things happened on that day, so that we can realize that what Noah done is right or wrong. It is written in Genesis 9:20 which says, "Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness."

If you concentrate in reading the above verses by giving priority to the words marked bold, you can see that, Noah proceeded to plant a vineyard for him and from its extract he made his own wine. He drank some of His own vineyard's wine and he became drunk. The next sentence says he lay uncovered inside his tent. The point here is Noah lay uncovered not in the tent of Ham or some where in the field. He laid in his own tent and he got the right or freedom to lay in his tent. And it is very difficult to think of a situation in which Noah and all his sons and their wives and children all stayed in a single tent. At least for sure there will be a separation inside their tent. Even if Noah is lying in Ham's tent, Ham can't oppose him for Noah is his father. But here As Noah is laying in his own tent and there is nothing Ham to do with that.

Ham for some reason came to the tent of Noah and when he saw his father uncovered, there are two good things which he can do. One is to leave the tend without caring for what he had seen and to keep it hidden in his heart. Otherwise he can cover his father himself with a garment. Instead of doing this what he did was he went outside and shared that matter to his brothers. The more worse thing is that he shared that matter to his brothers as a funny thing. That is why it is written there that, "Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness."

If you are able to view this incident in the point of view I described, of course you can realize the mistake that happened from Ham's part. But still we need to uncover the curse of Noah. We already knew that what Ham did is wrong. But still to curse his own son is up to Noah. We all feel it difficult to accept the act of cursing Ham by his father Noah. On studying I realized that it is because we consider Noah's curse as a punishment for the act of Ham and it is not so.

According to me, rather than an act of punishment, it was an outcome of Noah's uncontrollable sadness. If we consider the situations around, we can know that it was after the time of flood and there are no other people left on the face of earth other than Noah and his family. Noah is the eldest in his family and blessed with three sons Sham, Ham and Japheth

As he loved his family, he expected their love and care in return too. But, what Ham given in return for all the love and care of his father? Noah was never expecting such an act from his son whom he loved. But when Noah received such an act from his son Ham, it may be intolerable for him and and he may also become extremely sad. I do believe that from this intolerable sadness came the words of curse against Ham.

Almost all of us know that this curse of Noah came for real to Ham and to the generations of Ham. Some of you may think why this curse is so effective. I think it is because of the faith of Noah in God. What Noah done to God was not a simple thing as we imagine. He worked for God alone for long 400 years to build an ark according to God's commandment. Noah is a man who trust in God for a rain which he never knew before. I do respect Noah for this act. Even in this period of New Testament, we doubt God for many of his promises to us. But Noah keep on working for God for all those years believing that God will bring rain one day as he promised. Situations around him was not supporting and people around him considered him as a fool. There were many oppositions and building a ark is never an easy job even in this 21st century. Finally when God fulfilled his promise by bringing rain, there was for sure a tremendous increase in the faith of Noah.

In the New Testament, Jesus taught us, if you said anything without doubting in your heart, it will happen for sure. When Noah with great faith in God said such a curse from his heart without doubting about its fulfillment, the curse came for real to Ham's life and his generations. Now their only hope is that Christ died for them to remove this curse also from their generations.

May God bless you with this answer to understand the innocence of Noah and to remove every misunderstanding from that part of the Bible.

Demons in my house. What to do?

Full Question:

Hi Alfred, I got your id from the article about "demons in my house". My name is ***** and I'm living with my mother in Dubai. We recently got a second hand double bed and after that my mother has been experiencing weird things. She can't turn to the other side while sleeping. She feels like someone is pushing her. Sometimes she can't move her arms and legs. She's been getting nightmares many times. When she wakes up she finds tiny scratch marks on her back and her neck even she doesn't wear any jewelery & the bed clean. Can you please advice me on what I must do?
Is all this caused by demons or something? What can I do to get rid of this? Please reply as soon as possible. Thank you.

Answer:

I studied about your problem and will surely help you to get a deliverance for your mother from this problem. There are also few similar cases like yours which I handled, which gave me more confident to handle yours.

First of all I will share to you certain facts which I learned and understood clearly from all my experience. It is that a demon or Satan can not just simply come all the sudden in the life of a person as common people imagine, unless there are any certain doors opened for him to come in and to work. I will make it a little more clear. Demons are also real as angels are real. But they are also just spirits. They can't do something on any flesh, which means to anyone's body as easy as we do. But they can cause this kind of problems in two ways. One is to make such a feeling in which we feel similar to reality. Other is to make it happen for real.

In the case of making such a feeling is possible by the ability of demon to act in the spiritual realm related to our soul, which will make a living flesh feel like an illusion that happened for real for a while. Feeling like, can't able to turn to the other side while sleeping., feels like someone is pushing, can't move her arms and legs, been getting nightmares many times, wakes up she finds tiny scratch marks on her back and her neck etc may be due to this reason. Secondly if this is happening for real, it most probably she alone is doing all those things and suffering herself. This may be happening though demonic possession in which a demon troubles her to do all this things leaving her in a state similar to a comma. When she awake from that state, she will be totally unaware of what happened and get amazed by the marks and pains in her on body.

What ever the case may be, you should realize that it is just an after effect of something. That is the root reason for the problem and by finding the solution for this cause will solve the problems and troubles. Most usually this kind of things can happen for two reasons. First and important reason is that there should be some bad action in her life to cause this kind of things (it may be some kind of sin which is an act of cruelty, sorcery, demonic submission and so on). This can cause problems via two ways. One is from inside which is a direct aftereffect of any of the mentioned acts and the other is from outside which is indirect. In indirect case, an act as mentioned above will open a door and the door later invited the opportunity of such a problem in life.

No demons can come to anyone's life through a bed it is simply because the bed is a physical thing and demon is spiritual and need some living stuff to reside in it. But still there is a possibility in which the bed may related to some sorcery related objects or something by which some demons got direct access to the related things. I found there is no benefit for you to understand that reason and I mentioned almost everything you need to know.

Now my advice to you is never go anywhere searching for the reasons behind it, for it will not solve the situations, but only make it more worse. Next is do not depend any type of sorcery person for a solution for this problem for this will also make the problem more worse with wastage of money and time. They will guarantee you deliverance and finally your current situation will become very worse than now. Never compare and get afraid this with story characters such as a ghost or Dracula for all those are just a myth and that can never be the reason behind.

You can get rid of this problem for sure and the best way for that is to pray. May be you don't know what to pray, the following links will help you.
1. Accept Jesus. for a forgiveness to any past sins are needed. http://alfredisac.blogspot.com/2009/12/anti-dot-for-sin.html
2. Learn to pray to know what to pray. http://alfredisac.blogspot.com/2009/12/prayer.html

If the problem still remains seek the help of a man of prayer who lives near you or whom you know and let him come to your home and pray for your mother. You can contact me for any further help. May God deliver you from you and your mother from current situations and problems. God bless you.

Can demonic spirit gave utterance to speak in tongues?

Full Question:

I recently received the anointing of the Holy Spirit in a meeting and on that day I received some utterance in my mouth to speak in tongues. But I was not baptized yet. So when I shared it with an evangelist which I know and when I told him that I was not baptized. Then he told me about the tongues which occur by the utterance of the demonic spirit. From that day onwards I started to doubt the tongues which I got. Is it true that, demonic spirit can give us utterance to speak in tongues? Can you help me to realize the fact behind this and to discern the tongues which is coming in my mouth?

Answer:

This is a quite meaningful question and it is not only you, but many persons already shared this question to know and to confirm that the tongues they are speaking is of Holy Spirit. I also found that it is very important to help people to get out from this type of confusions from the initial stage.

Gift of tongues is a special gift from Holy Spirit which we can see only in the New Testament. In this New Testament, no were in the gospels, acts or epistles we can't see any people speaking in tongues by the utterance of demonic spirit and no were anyone is mentioning about such a kind of tongues. But still some of you may have seen or heard people speaking certain things in native language or so by the utterance of demonic spirit.

Yes, there are such incidents where there is utterance given by demonic spirit and this is biblical too. These utterance can be of two types. One and most important one is demons speak with much clarity and in the native language by giving utterance to the possessed person. We can see that in bible people with demonic possession shouted, "you are Jesus Christ, son of the most high" (Matthew 8:29, Mark 5:7, Mark 3:7-12 and so on) many times throughout the bible, Demons revealing their name and necessary things on asking them Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him (Luke 8:30), speaking things like "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you? "(Acts 19:15) and so on. This is something that happen as a result of the utterance given by the demon to the possessed person. But people know very well that this is not the tongues and it is easy to discern it.

The second one is that what people misunderstand as demonic tongues usually, for it is slightly similar to tongues. Actually these are groaning made by the demonic spirit. It is very easy to recognize this because all such groaning are not clear. It usually happens when demons feel it difficult to stay in the possessed person's body due to the presence of God. We can see many similar things happened in the New Testament when Jesus Christ came to cast demons out. At that time, due to the power of God and anointing in Jesus, there was a special presence of God spreading around him. When demonic possessed persons are brought to Jesus Christ, they may feel it intolerable to stay in that presence and they started groaning and to make all such noises. These noises are not tongues of demons as people misunderstand. This type of tongues only last for a few moments and will not come into mouth always.

Then the most important point is, even if the demon can gave good and clear utterance like speaking in tongues or by these groaning noises and all, there is nothing to worry about. When we speak in the tongues of Holy Spirit, we speak mysteries and we are speaking to God which will give us spiritual edification. This doesn't ever means that if there is a demonic tongues and when we speak in such tongues, we are speaking to Satan, which will result in demonic edification. It is even foolish to think like that and there are no biblical explanation of such a demonic giving tongue.

Some people again misinterpret that this type of tongues is visible usually in people who used to start speaking in tongues before the water baptism. According to their doctrine, there is no way to receive tongues of Holy Spirit before baptism. But I do not agree with this kind of teaching because it is possible to receive tongues and even to prophecy without taking the water baptism. In the book of Acts 10:44-47 we can clearly see that people receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues too before they get baptized. "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. 46For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days." So there is no point in such a interpretation which says it not possible to speak in tongues before water baptism.

I am so sad to think about the occurrence of such misunderstanding in the church and really worried about the people who used to spread such kind of false doctrines to the members of church, which will deviate from their faith. Usually there are many people around us with not much knowledge in the word of God and they like to make others believe that they knew something seriously. To make such a honor in front of them, they invent many false doctrines like this and share it without confirming it with the word of God and proper knowledge about the point. The main consequences of such doctrines are it will damage the faith of many people and deviate the from the basis of word of God.

In your case, you told me that you shared you are a new believer to that evangelist. If he is a good and God guided man, he should of course only promote and encourage you to speak in tongues more and more by telling you about its advantage. People receiving Holy Spirit is like a small baby without much maturity and knowledge about the word of God and Jesus. Any false doctrines can make them doubt many spiritual things around them and even it can make them doubt the pearls given by God. If you can please stay away from all such kind of people.

Trust in God and what He has given you. Speak it out and keep on growing. There is nothing you need to be worried. God is with you and He will take care of you. May God bless you greatly with this answer and to grow in Him more and more and to remove all misunderstandings.

Why people are classified as full-time and part-time ministers?

Full Question:

Why do people in a church are classified as full-time and part-time ministers? What is the difference between them? Which one among this is greater?

Answer:

Your question is a simple and interesting question. Its answer also is simple, if it is answered directly to the point. But on answering this question, I need to mention certain important points which are some mistakes from this. I do believe that it may help at least some of you to realize such misinterpretation and to remove such misunderstanding.

First of all let me come to the direct answer. Churches in this days classified the category of people in a basis of time. Those who are dedicated to God and working for God without any other business or job are called full-time ministers of God. All the rest of people in a church without such a commitment are called part-time workers of God. The difference between them is classified on the basis of their working time for God.

I don't know how this type of a classification developed in churches. There are many factors that developed this classification. Some of them are the concept to get a high reward for full-time workers, God's special love towards full-time workers, God's quickness and care in answering the full-time ministers prayers and so on. Whatever it may be I'm totally against this classification for that this type of a classification is not biblical and was not created by God. This classification has got a lot of disadvantages, which is also a factor that affects the growth of the church. I'm dedicating my answers to all people who are called and separated as a part-time ministers of God. You should understand the biblical facts very clearly and should break the barriers around you by clear understanding about the word of God.

We can go to a part of the bible which will help us to reveal many truths based on this time based classification. In Matthew 20:, we can see Jesus telling a story to his disciples. It says, "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard. About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. He told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.' So they went. He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing. About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?' Because no one has hired us,' they answered. He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.' When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.' The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius. So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 'These men who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.' But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?'

In the above parable said by Jesus we can see very clearly that God is the landowner and the workers are his ministers. Here the landowner agreed to pay a denarius for his workers, which means God agreed a reward for his ministers. The important thing to notice here is about the time. We can see, the land owner went early in the morning, third hour, sixth hour, ninth hour, eleventh hour to hire men to work for his vineyard, until evening. As the workers are called at different times, we can see that the difference between them is based on the duration of time they worked. This workers can be compared with the classification of full-time and part-time ministers of God. Those who started working from the early morning worked for a long time compared to others. We can see that such workers are also proud of what they have done and they also are expecting something great from God, for they are working for a long time. But when God called his workers to pay their wages, he is not even thinking about such a classification. He is giving the same reward for all the part-time workers and also it is clear that God's attitude and care towards both of them are same.

Hope you understand that there is no classification made by God, to the church on the basis of time. You should also realize that there is no special favor in the eyes of God for full-time workers. All part time workers and full time workers are equally important in the eyes of God. Then why do human beings have this classification. There is only one God placed classification in the church and it is written in the bible very clearly. It is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:28 which says, "And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues." This is a good classification and we all know that this classification will help in the growth of church. And if God or the apostles found it important and beneficial to make a time based classification, surely they will also classify the people in the first time church as full time and part time ministers.

I think I should also mention some of the important disadvantages of such a time based classification. Almost in all churches around the world, majority of its members are people with some job or some kind of business. If a church separate this group of people as a group who are not able to work for God the whole day, it is a kind of discouragement. By this discouragement, the church will lose a great contribution from the majority. A good church should not keep this type of classification within them and they should consider each of its members as equally important in the vineyard of God, which is the mission field. The church should encourage every members to work for God, as much as they can. They should teach them to be connected with the heaven always and to be an available tool for God whenever He needs you, which is an important thing.

All people who are separated as part-time workers of God, please come to the understanding that you are equally important to Jesus. Some of you may think that God will hear only those dedicated full time ministers prayers and He can work only through them. It is a just a misunderstanding and answering of prayer is just a matter of faith. You must clearly understand, you are precious for Jesus. God is love and he loves everyone equally. He paid his life as a price for me, you and all. He do not have any special considerations for certain people.

All people who called themselves as full-time ministers of God, this message is not to discourage you. But in this end-times, God need more workers for His field and this type of classifications are really a stumbling block for the growth of kingdom of God. Never continue with the attitude of vineyard workers, who worked from early morning. Remove this type of classification from your middle and encourage them equally. Never let God say to you, "Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?"

May God bless all of you with this answer and may many people starting working to God as much as they can, by breaking the human classified barriers around them, for the growth of kingdom of God.

'I am sad' Why?

Full Question:

I'm sad and I really mean it on saying it. I know about your blog and all. Actually I don't know clearly about the reason for I'm sad and so I can't share you the reason for my sadness. But can you please pray for me to God and I do believe God will answer my problem to you. Advance thanks.

Answer:

It is for the first time someone is asking me such a kind of question. Your question made me think a lot and I took a great time to understand it. All the other questions people shared was like asking a solution after mentioning their problem with it's reason. Anyway at last God given me an exact or the best answer for your question and I'm happy to give you that answer.

By finding answer to your question only, I came to know about the important reasons behind sadness. It was amazing for me to determine such a meaning from the very simple phrase, 'I am sad'. First of all, if you are sad, you should know that there is an important and specific reason behind it which I can't avoid so simply because it mean many things spiritually to me. Anyway friend, listen to my words carefully and take my answer seriously.

There are only mainly two important reasons behind sadness as it is mentioned in the bible. Of course the reason behind your sadness will also be one among them. It is on the basis of 2 Corinthians 7:10 which says, "For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death."

So the reason for your grief may be caused by the will of God which will lead you to salvation. If so you do not need to worry about for later it will bring joy and peace to you. I'm also happy about that. And if the reason for your sadness is caused by worldly sadness, which will bring death, you should take care. Don't be afraid. It is not about physical death, but spiritual death which is the state of life without Jesus Christ.

If you are sad for this second reason, you should take essential precautions as fast as possible before it result in a spiritual death. Check your faith and check yourself that when and where you deviated from Jesus and How? From my experience and knowledge it may be caused by any wrong decisions made by you with consciousness. If you realize what I told you is true, Repent and restore your relationship with Jesus as fast as you can. Take care always to give no room for the enemy in your heart.

If you need any more help, contact me and I will do my best to help you. May God bless you and deliver you quickly from this situation of sadness.

Does Adam and Eve had a Belly button?

Does Adam and Eve had a Belly button?

Answer:

This is an interesting question and I'm very glad to present my answer. But on presenting my answer, I need to say something for that it will not result in any quarrel or disagreement later for even Bible says that to stay away from these types of talks which will result only in quarrel due to the disagreement between two opinions caused by lack of proper evidence. Let me also mention that I don't think an answer for this question will help you or anyone to gain some spiritual edification.

There are two categories of people, in which one believe that  Adam and Eve do had a belly button and there are also who believe that they don't had one. Whatever the answer may be, no one will be able to go to the past and check their belly to make an assured report. The only thing which we can do regarding that in this 21st century is just to make possible assumptions by the best of our awareness in science.

I'm answering this question just to present my assumption from a variety of factors I studied. Once I thought it was just a matter of common sense to say that Adam and Eve don't had a belly button. But on presenting the matter between some friends, strong oppositions came and it made me rethink and study my answer to check and confirm that whether my answer is more possible to be true. But still I don't compel anyone to believe in my opinion due to the lack of visible evidence.

First of all, we can think about the reason and statement of both side of people. It is like one group of people believe that God created Adam and Eve and as they don't came out of a womb they lack a belly button. The second group believe that God they had a belly button for God created human being complete on creation and without a belly button human body seems to be imperfect. I do believe and support the side which says that Adam and Eve don't had a belly button.

The most important reason behind it is as everyone knows that the contradiction of umbilical chord result in the formation of belly button. Adam was created by God and Eve was created from the rib of Adam. As Adam and Eve were created not from a womb, more clearly without being inside a womb. Naturally there was no possibility for an umbilical chord and thus for a belly button.

Now we should answer the questions from people who believe that Adam and Eve had a belly button. There main statements and questions are regarding the imperfection of the body without a belly button. They are asking 'Why can't God create Adam and Eve with a small belly button?' First I got confused with their statements and later on thinking and studying about the matter, I found certain truths from science that do not support their statements.

Their main statement about the imperfection of human body with out a belly button was like a kind of illusion matter. If we think for a while about our body without a belly button, of course it will seem to be like an imperfection. I studied about the reason behind this imperfection. Then I realized that it is a matter of illusion, more than the matter of imperfection. If you think about the reason behind the imperfection, you will come to know that it is an odd case. More clearly as we all had a belly button, we believe that perfection is to had a belly button. But if we all don't had a belly button, we will never feel it as a matter of imperfection.

Secondly, on thinking about the chance for God to create a small belly button in Adam and Eve. I reject that for the reason I don't think God will create a belly button in Adam and Eve without any function or purpose. Even in this 21st century medical science reject the possibility of a child growth without having an umbilical chord. They again conform that umbilical chord do not have any function or purpose to do after the child birth and medical science provides that as the reason to cut it off after child birth. This umbilical chord contracts together and form the belly button which also do not have any function or purpose.

Many people consider belly button as some kind of organ in the human body to say that there was no possibility for God to create Adam and Eve without a belly button. Such people need to understand the fact that belly button is just a mark resulted by the contradiction of umbilical chord, just like a wound leave a mark(a scar) on our body when it get healed. I don't think God will make an unwanted scar in Adam's and Eve's body without a cause.

I would like to share you one more thing which made me confirm that Adam and Eve do not have a belly button. It was to study and to realize that the creatures that born from a womb or an egg without an umbilical chord lack a belly button. Birds, Fishes etc. are examples for organisms without a belly button for they were not grown and born with the help of a umbilical chord. These are also God's creation and God did not created a belly button in them for there is no function for a belly button in them. If God do not created a belly button in them to make some perfection, most probably he doesn't made one for Adam and Eve too.

And finally, as a spiritual meaning, belly button represents a generation. It shows the connection of a human being to his mother and it clearly represents the connection with a generation ahead. If you believe that Adam and Eve had a belly button, it also represent that there is a generation, more clearly a human generation ahead. It will not support the creation of human being from God. According to me, those who believe in creation should believe that God created the first man without a belly button, but with perfect plans to make generations from them with a belly button.

Hope you understand my opinion and May God bless you with this answer.

What is 'true repentance'?

Most of us are familiar with the term repentance and with its meaning. There are many explanations for the term repentance. But I believe that ‘true repentance’ is something much more than repentance and of course there is difference between both of them.

The common definitions or what we normally meant by repentance is a decision made by a person not to sin again and trying the best to escape from that sin. Some believe it as being guilty and sad for the sins committed and some other think it as washing the sins with the blood of Jesus or word of God. There are also people who believe it as confessing the sin committed to God or to an elder in the church and to ask him to pray for you. For another, it is asking apology to God or human being to whom which we committed the sin. By dictionary it can be also defined as feeling remorse, contrition, or self-reproach for what one has done or failed to do; be contrite.

All these are true. But still there is a thing much great than all these, which God expect from us on repenting. It can be also mentioned as a fruit of repentance, for it is a result of repentance. A repentance which produces this fruit is called true repentance. Then ‘what is true repentance?’

According to me, ‘true repentance for a sin is an act of human being to turn away from that sin and to come back to Jesus Christ by stop committing that sin again.’ Decisions, confessions, cleansing and all are just a part. It can again lead that person to sin. This true repentance is not just a decision not to sin, but it is an act in which we do not commit that sin again and this is what God expect from us on repenting. Otherwise an option for committing sins will be always remain with solutions as confessing sins, deciding again and also cleansing again with the blood of Jesus and so on. An inner meaning of this true repentance is that, if we committed the sin for which we repented once, it cannot be called as a true repentance.

In these days people always fail to make true repentance. In bible we can see this nature in the life of people who repented. We can see David repented for his sin of committing adultery with Bathsheba and he never committed such a sin again. In the story of parable of lost son, the son repented for leaving his father and for leading a immoral life and after his repentance, he never went back again to that sins. Zacchaeus repented for his sin of collecting more money from taxes and he never committed the sin again. The woman who was caught on committing adultery repented and never went to commit the sin again. Apostle Paul repented for persecuting the church and he never went back to persecute the church again.

We can see all these people repented not just by mere decisions or by washing them with the blood of Jesus and confessing their sins. Decisions are necessary to perform an act and cleansing with the blood of Jesus and the confession of sins are also good. But beyond all these, the act is important, which is not to go to commit the sin again.

You should also aware of the reason for which such repentance is very important. It is because, in God whom there is no sin and no darkness is Holy and Holy. Sin is very bad and ugly in the eyes of this Holy God. Man who lives in this sinful world may he okay with sins. But God can never tolerate sins and he cannot left the sins so simple and unnoticed.

By this answer some of you may think about the impossibility to stop committing sins without the help of God. I will try my best to provide answer for that question in some of the next posts. May God bless all of you with this answer.

What do you have to say about ‘Luck’?

This is an interesting question and I also studied and discovered the answer of this question earlier. But thank you for asking this question again so that I can make it in the form an answer so that many can read and understand it. I do believe that my answer for this question is very interesting. Understanding and accepting the answer of this question will surely help all readers to remove a great misbelieve. So read on with the heart to know its answer.

All human beings are familiar with the term called luck. People of different religion, caste, tribe, belief, ethnicity and country believe in the term called luck. But according to me, Luck is something that does not exist for real or it is a word used by human being to replace the presence of something else, which they do not understand. Beyond that if we study and understand more about luck, we can see and realize that luck is a non-beneficial thing for human being which affects human beings only in bad ways. I know it is difficult to grasp and to accept my opinion in this moment, but I’ll make it clear for you.

First of all consider an example in which I told you to take a ball from the box which contains 5 black and 5 white balls, by keeping your eyes closed. Can you predict the color of that ball which you are about to take? The truth is you cannot predict it because there are same numbers of white and black balls in the box and the ball you are going to take can be white or black. And what about the case if I tell that you are lucky if you get the white ball. And in this case can you predict the color of that ball which you are about to take? The truth is you cannot predict it because, still there are same number of white and black balls in the box and the ball you are going to take can be white or black. But when people on taking a ball found that it is white, they call themselves they are lucky and the fact is that there is nothing which luck have to do with getting a specified ball you expect.

Mathematicians know this very well when they studied about this and they named and defined it completely in terms of probability, more clearly statistical probability. So is luck another name for statistical probability? Anyway that is true for an extent because many times human beings call the end result of statistical probability as luck. Now we can consider it with some real life situation so that you can understand the misunderstandings caused by the term called luck.

Consider the case of an examination and here I would like to share an incident with my sister which once helped me to study more about this term luck. It was before her medical entrance examination she shared to me that “It is possible to get a top rank in entrance examination only with luck.” And here I would like to know your opinion about that. Anyway whatever the opinion may be, the fact is, getting a top rank in entrance or any other examination is not a matter of luck, but it is a matter of hard working and through study.

There are lots of students who do not study hard and work hard for their examinations by believing in the mythological term called luck. Once I am also a victim of that wrong doctrine. If you attend an entrance or any other examination without studying, it was just like taking a ball from the box, which means you may pass or may not pass in the examination and it depends on the statistical probability of your answers. But if you need good marks and need to reach in the top rank, you should have to study and work hard for sure.

Another place in which people commonly use luck is at the time when they escape from some accident. To study a case we can take the situation of vehicle accident. Suppose you are driving a car and a truck is coming from the opposite direction without proper control. What will you do? Do you remain the same by telling yourself that it is possible to escape from an accident only by luck or do you try to move the car in some possible ways so that you can escape from it. Surely you will try to escape your car by applying proper acceleration, break and control or at least you will try to get out of the car to move to some side of the road. In this situation, probability of escaping from the accident is more if we try to escape our car from hitting the truck. Otherwise if we remain the same, you can or can not be hit by the truck which is again a matter of statistical probability like taking a ball from the box. So what is the role of luck in this situation? You know very well that it is your effort that made you escape from the accident and waiting for luck only help you to be in more danger.

There are many other similar cases like this. The case of taking lottery is another example. If you go and take some lottery from somewhere, it can or cannot be won. If you take the lottery by careful planning the chance to win the lottery is more. At least if you take the same lottery number always, you have more chance to win that lottery than taking different numbers each time. It is not luck that makes investors succeeds in stock exchange, but it is careful studying and proper planning that helps them succeed. It is not luck that makes business people succeed in business, but it is faithfulness, customer satisfaction and hard work is that which help them succeed. It is not luck that heals the disease of patient, but it is good treatment and proper intake of medicines that helps them to be healed. People who work in dangerous places and spacemen who go to space are still alive due to their carefulness in doing each thing. It is not luck that makes God answers your prayer, but it is strong and powerful prayer of faith made God answer your prayer and to bless you. Similarly you can replace luck from all other cases in your life.

What is the benefit by carrying this unresisting term called luck? Actually there is no benefit and all there is only detriment. Luck is a main term which people use in these days to be lazy by escaping from their responsibilities. Its end result is that it makes the unfruitful, unsatisfied and it destroys a hope of good future. Luck makes students to wait to pass examination without hardworking, stock investors to invest without careful planning, businessman to do business without faithfulness and customer satisfaction. It makes people to depend proper treatment and proper medicine intake.

One another thing which I noticed is that not all lucky people are lucky in all areas and they are also not lucky in same area repeatedly on other attempts. This again confirms that luck is just statistical probability. Students who passed examination by luck are not passing always in examinations by luck. A person called lucky by winning a lottery is not lucky in his life, business, relations, diseases, studies and so on. It always vary and what he get is just the result of his hard work and nothing else.

Hope you understand the inexistence of luck clearly by this answer. Believe in hard work and do not waste time by things like luck in life. But there is something which you need to understand clearly. It is the difference between God’s involvements in case of blessings, protection, success etc. and its difference from luck. I’ll answer it in the next question. God bless all of you with this answer.
